About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Study Skills Specialist to join our team at Randstad. As a Study Skills Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting students with specific learning difficulties (SpLDs) to achieve their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one learning support and academic guidance to students with SpLDs.
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans tailored to each student's needs.
  • Encourage students to become independent learners by building on their strengths and learning strategies.
  • Support students in developing effective organization and time management skills.
  • Help students create action plans to stay on track with their studies.
  • Assist students in developing research skills, including identifying and using a variety of sources.
  • Support students in improving their comprehension skills in reading and writing.
Requirements
  • Membership with one of the following professional bodies: British Dyslexia Association (BDA), Professional Membership The Association of Dyslexia (ADSHE), Dyslexia Guild, or The Professional Association of Teachers of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties (PATOSS).
  • Experience working with clients with SpLDs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to identify ways to help students build on their learning strengths while maintaining a confidential and professional working relationship.
  • Punctuality and reliability.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage a caseload of students.
