About the Role

The HALO Trust is seeking a highly skilled Global Finance Officer to join our Finance team at our HQ in Thornhill, Dumfries. As a key member of the team, you will support the Global Grants Manager in ensuring contractual and regulatory compliance for a portfolio of global grants and donors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce timely financial donor reports and fund requests, utilizing HALO's financial planning system (Adaptive Insights).
  • Develop donor budgets and provide support in the development of systems, tools, and processes to ensure HALO's budgeting and forecasting process operates efficiently and effectively.
  • Assist in the financial monitoring and review of grants/contracts, working closely with colleagues to forecast and report on project costs to completion.
  • Monitor compliance against overseas statutory regulations, including company registration, financial reporting, and taxation.
  • Assist in the monitoring of compliance against Donor regulations and HALO financial and logistics standard operating procedures, carrying out desk and field-based audits.
  • Produce transactional reports/documentation for grant/contract audits, liaising with external auditors/country teams as appropriate.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years' experience in a finance role.
  • Proficiency in Excel to manipulate and analyze data.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel to HALO programmes.
