We are excited to announce a senior role for a highly experienced Sustainability Project Lead to join our team at Benson Mack Search. This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious candidate to progress to Director/Partner level while making a significant contribution to the growth and development of our business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a multidisciplinary planning team and acting as environmental planning lead for major projects in the energy sector, including onshore wind, solar, battery storage, and grid applications in Scotland and England/Wales.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate teams working on planning and/or EIA projects
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Participate in business development through tender preparation and new business opportunities
  • Provide competent advice on planning matters, ensuring work meets statutory requirements

Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Town Planning, Geography, Environmental Management)
  • Membership of RTPI, IEMA, or Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) desirable
  • Excellent knowledge of planning processes and legislation
  • Proven project management skills and experience in the energy sector
  • Good organisational skills and ability to manage tasks and time

Salary: We offer a competitive salary of £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
