Job Title: Technical Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Specialist to join our team at Boskalis. As a Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all machinery and electrical equipment onboard our vessels, as well as carrying out the role of GP Rating.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the vessel is in all respects prepared for the voyage, taking into account factors such as stability, stress, trim, and watertight integrity.
  • Make regular inspections of machinery and machinery spaces to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Arrange all transfers of fuel, lubricants, and fresh water.
  • Ensure all planned maintenance and emergency repair work is carried out efficiently and effectively.
  • Keep all engine room records as required by the Company and other authorities.
  • Participate in safety drills and training to ensure the highest operation standard of the vessel at all times.

Requirements:

  • AEC 1 (and capable to obtain AEC2)
  • Nav Watch rating Certificate (hold or be able to obtain)
  • ENG1
  • Elementary First Aid
  • Basic Fire Fighting
  • Sea Survival Course
  • RYA Powerboat Level 2
