Job Description

Job Title: Business Administrator/ICT Educator

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Prison Education Department

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Administrator/ICT Educator to join our team at Dovetail and Slate. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering accredited and unaccredited classes in Business Administration and ICT to adult learners in a prison education setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning to adult learners in Business Administration and ICT
  • Develop and implement lesson plans to meet the needs of learners
  • Assess and evaluate learner progress and provide feedback
  • Work with learners on a 1:1 basis to support their learning and provide additional support as needed
  • Participate in outreach work to engage with learners in the prison and encourage them to return to a classroom setting
  • Collaborate with other education professionals to develop and implement education programs
  • Contribute to the development of education policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Good basic general education including GCSE (or) equivalent) in Maths and English at Grade C or above
  • A Degree, or professional qualification, which is appropriate to the work
  • Experience in supporting learners re-engaging into education
  • Resilient and able to work in a challenging environment
  • Teaching Qualification
