About the Role

Petrofac is seeking a skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our team in Great Yarmouth, UK.

This is a 12-month contract position that offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects and develop your skills in project management.

The Job Description:

  1. Act as the project focal point with supervised authority within the limits of the project parameters.
  2. Accountable for competently performing assigned project tasks without supervision.
  3. Work as a project team member or a member of the project personnel.
  4. May work in some fields as a specialist.
  5. Responsible for maintaining progress against agreed cost, schedule, and quality parameters.
  6. Able to analyze, diagnose, and use project management tools and professional judgment to resolve discreet problems at a project level.
  7. Appraise the relevant project management focal point of the performance of the project element.
  8. Work to the project interface document to maintain the alignment of client and Petrofac processes during the project lifecycle.
  9. Maintain communication with Engineering, Construction, and Commissioning leads where necessary within the project element.
  10. Support the risk management process during the project.
  11. Support the management of change process during the project.
  12. Work to the Project Execution Plan, ensuring compliance and assurance of delivery against the PEP objectives.
  13. Play an active role in supporting Petrofac drive to digitally enhance delivery methods.
  14. Follow the Petrofac Project Management Process in the management and discharge of Project activities.

Deliverables:

Services should be provided to enable production of the following deliverables where required as part of project specific works, specific clients, and durations will be called off as part of the purchase order.

Responsibilities of role to include coordination and management of:

  1. Regular project updates and summary documents.
  2. Action register.
  3. Resource histograms.
  4. Risk and Opportunity register.
  5. Manhour reports.
  6. P6 schedule.
  7. Cost Reporting.
  8. Engineering and design deliverable status register.
  9. Procurement status reports.
  10. Technical queries.
  11. Management of change.
