Archival Content Specialist

As a Digital Preservation Coalition member, we are seeking an Archival Content Specialist to join our team at the University of Cambridge. Estimated salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum.
Job SummaryThis role will involve developing and implementing strategies for managing digital archives and ensuring their long-term preservation and accessibility.
The successful candidate will have expertise in palaeographical and diplomatic skills, allowing them to read and interpret medieval and early modern records, as well as excellent ICT literacy and familiarity with digitised and born-digital records management.
We are looking for a skilled communicator able to engage various audiences with the archival collections and interpret them in different media.
Key Responsibilities- Developing and maintaining digital archive collections
- Collaborating with colleagues across the Library to manage collections and deliver services and projects
- Supporting researchers, students, and users to access archives
