Master Carpenter Educator

At Bournemouth & Poole College, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Carpenter Educator to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning to our students in the field of Carpentry and Joinery.
About the Role:
We are offering a competitive salary of £33,349 - £46,257 per annum, plus a Golden Hello up to £3,000, subject to certain conditions. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Carpentry and Joinery, with a minimum of 5 years' industry experience. They will also hold relevant qualifications, such as an NVQ level 2 or Craft certificate in Carpentry and Joinery, and possess excellent communication and organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality teaching and learning to a range of students;
Ensure that employability and employer engagement activities are embedded into the programmes;
Support community/personal enrichment activities (including trips related to learning);
Preparation of schemes of learning, lesson plans, assignment schedules, learning materials for curriculum delivery;
Actively promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion, and health and safety in all aspects of college life;
Marking of students' work with developmental feedback;
Reporting student progress;
Participation in curriculum development activities;
Participation in the recruitment of students and the student admissions process;
Representation of the College at internal and external events and meetings;
Participation in all aspects of The College's quality process;
Internal verification;
Continually maintain, undertake and meet any relevant CPD requirements;
Liaison with parents/guardians;
About You:
You will need to possess excellent organisational skills, able to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines. You will also be required to attend college events, including open evenings outside of normal working hours.
