SEN Teacher Opportunity in Christchurch

We are seeking a skilled and passionate SEN Teacher to join our dedicated team in Christchurch. As an SEN Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs (SEND) in achieving their academic goals.

About the Role:

  • Deliver tailored teaching to meet the individual needs of students across primary and secondary schools.
  • Create engaging lessons aligned with the curriculum for students with special needs, promoting successful outcomes.
  • Support students in one-to-one or small group settings, fostering academic growth and development.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods to ensure optimal results.
  • Collaborate closely with SENCOs, staff, and guardians to enhance academic strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Specialised teaching to cater to diverse student needs.
  2. Develop and implement lesson plans in accordance with the curriculum.
  3. Support students in various learning environments.
  4. Assess and adapt teaching methods for effective student progress.
  5. Coordinate with SENCOs and staff to improve academic approaches.

Requirements:

  • Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in any field.
  • Previous experience as an SEN Teacher is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
