Role OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our team in the Long Term Social Care department. As a Senior Child Protection Practitioner, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and young people.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in child protection and social work, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for assessing and managing risk, developing and implementing effective intervention plans, and working collaboratively with families and other agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing and managing risk to ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people
- Developing and implementing effective intervention plans in partnership with families and other agencies
- Providing guidance and support to colleagues and partner agencies to ensure consistency and best practice
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records of assessments, interventions, and progress
Requirements:
- Qualification in social work (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or BA Hons in Social Work)
- Registration with Social Work England
- Minimum 2 years' experience in child protection and social work
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities
