About the Role

Sanctuary Personnel Ltd, a leading recruitment agency in the UK, is seeking a highly skilled Child Protection Specialist to join their Children's and Families Team on a permanent basis. This full-time position is based in Gloucestershire.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate exemplary social work practice, adhering to Social Work England's professional standards, to promote the safety and well-being of children and young people in need of support, protection, and care.
  • Ensure all social work activities are compliant with statutory guidance, legislation, and GCC policies and procedures.
  • Deliver consistently good and effective social work practice to improve outcomes for children, young people, and their families through evidence-based practice consistent with the Essentials Programmes and Practice Fundamentals.
  • Manage a protected caseload of up to 8 children and young people with complex and challenging needs, risks, and circumstances.
  • Undertake direct work with children and young people with complex and challenging needs, risks, and circumstances.
  • Risk assess and review plans to build on identified strengths and address the risk of significant harm to maintain long-term safety and well-being for children and young people.
  • Be responsible for undertaking monthly case file audits and dip sampling exercises to assure and control the quality of social work practice as well as using the findings to support learning and inform remedial action where required.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this role is £35,000 - £45,000, depending on experience.
