Telephone-Based Child Welfare Support Role

Location: Gloucestershire County
Hourly Rate:£35.00

Position Description:

As a telehealth child welfare consultant, you will engage with professionals expressing concern over children's welfare through phone calls, focusing on handling requests received via an inbox and participating in TAF meetings as necessary.

Your main goal is to ensure children receive suitable intervention and support while collaborating with a structured team, guided by a manager and supported by senior social workers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and guidance to professionals regarding children's welfare issues.
  • Handle support requests from the Tewkesbury and Forest of Dean regions.
  • Attend TAF meetings as required.
  • Make timely decisions utilizing the Levels of Intervention framework.
  • Collaborate with the support team.

Required Skills:

  • MASH experience and knowledge of thresholds and triage.
  • Familiarity with Gloucestershire's services and Levels of Intervention.
  • An empathetic and reflective approach to safeguarding.
  • Capacity to document and implement timely decisions.
