Property Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Property Accountant to join our team at Investigo. As a Property Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial information of our clients is accurate and up-to-date.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out all basic accounting procedures to ensure financial information is accurate and available on a timely basis.
  • Interact with stakeholders in a professional manner.
  • Advise Property Directors on accounting issues associated with annual service charge budgets.
  • Update and change Service charge or Ground rent amounts relating to Property transfers and sales.
  • Prepare monthly ground rent returns for submission to Freehold clients.
  • Draft monthly service charge income and expenditure reports.
  • Draft variance analysis reports.
  • Process journals reallocating expenditure as necessary.
  • Oversee bank reconciliations on a monthly basis.
  • Support the work of the purchase ledger team through payment runs.
  • Monitor development scheme cash flow and forecasting.
Requirements:
  • Part-qualified ACA, ACCA, AAT with a strong interest in property management.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a Property Accounting role.
  • Good knowledge of Service Charge and accounting software packages.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Good Excel skills.
