About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Property Accountant to join our team at Investigo. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out all basic accounting procedures to ensure financial information is accurate and available on a timely basis.
  • Interact with stakeholders in a professional manner, providing expert advice on accounting issues.
  • Assist Property Directors in the production, distribution, and processing of budgets, including updating Service charge or Ground rent amounts.
  • Prepare monthly ground rent returns for submission to Freehold clients.
  • Draft monthly service charge income and expenditure reports for the Senior Property Accountant.
  • Draft variance analysis reports and process journals reallocating expenditure as necessary.
  • Oversee bank reconciliations on a monthly basis and support the purchase ledger team through payment runs.
  • Monitor development scheme cash flow and forecasting at least 12 months ahead.
Requirements
  • Part-qualified ACA, ACCA, AAT with a strong interest in property management.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a Property Accounting role.
  • Good knowledge of Service Charge and experience with accounting software packages.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Competent in Excel and property management software.
