About the Role

Sodexo UK HMP YOI Bronzefield is seeking a dedicated Business Tutor to join our team and help transform the lives of prisoners by preparing them for successful reintegration into the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Educational Support: Assist learners in developing their knowledge and skills to successfully complete accredited training programs.
  • Business Planning: Collaborate with learners to formulate their business ideas into comprehensive business plans and support them in achieving a Business Startup qualification.
  • Entrepreneurial Development: Plan, create, and develop learners' entrepreneurial ideas, preparing them for successful implementation upon release.
  • Positive Environment: Challenge negative behaviour, boost self-esteem, and provide a supportive environment to foster personal growth.
  • Increase Employability: Enhance prisoners' employability and reduce re-offending through skill development and training.
  • Workshop Management: Oversee prisoners in the workshop, ensuring effective coordination of work and training locations.
  • Adherence to Policies: Ensure all relevant policies and procedures, such as Security, Health and Safety and Prisoner Welfare, are adhered to and take responsibility for the work area.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor take-up of taught training and progression of learners, reporting any difficulties to your Line Manager.
  • Quality Control: Monitor quality control of work produced by prisoners to maintain standards required.
  • Enrolment and Tracking: Involve in all processes and procedures related to the selection, interviewing, enrolment, induction and tracking of the bike workshop.

  • Female Prisoner Support: Commitment to developing skills and self-esteem of female prisoners.
