Support Specialist for Children with Autism

Role Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate professional to join our team in Wigan, supporting children with special educational needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in special education, with experience working with children, particularly those with autism and SEMH needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement tailored learning strategies and activities for children with special educational needs.
- Collaborate with other professionals to create holistic Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) focusing on individual children's needs and goals.
- Provide specialist support to children with autism, enhancing their learning experiences through targeted techniques.
- Assist in the care of young children, ensuring a safe and engaging environment that meets each child's unique requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, communicating findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Prior experience in special education or a related field is desirable.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children and families.
- Experience working with children with autism is highly valuable.
- A patient and inspiring approach to educating and supporting children.
- DBS check required; a valid driver's license advantageous.
£28,000 per annum based on experience, plus benefits.
