About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team at Moston, a leading facilities management company. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will play a key role in developing and delivering people strategies that align with our long-term business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and key stakeholders to design and implement business-specific people strategies in line with our broader HR framework.
  • Provide professional HR guidance on complex people issues, ensuring that the right approach is taken in escalated cases.
  • Partner with the wider HR team to ensure that people policies, initiatives, and procedures are effective, fit for purpose, and aligned with business needs.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the financial and commercial aspects of the business, using this insight to inform HR priorities and People Plan strategies.
  • Monitor and analyse key HR metrics, such as labour costs, employee relations, and sickness absence, to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Develop and implement action plans to address identified trends and risks, and support business leaders in driving organisational performance.
The Ideal Candidate:

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above).
  • A background within the prison service, justice system, retail, manufacturing or logistics.
  • Extensive experience as an HR Business Partner, ideally in a fast-paced and complex business environment.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience in all aspects of HR, including reward and compensation, employee relations, talent management, succession planning, and leadership development.
  • Proven ability to work strategically, delivering high-quality HR support and advice to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends, risks, and opportunities using HR data.
  • Familiarity with HR tools and techniques (e.g., TNA, psychometrics, salary surveys) to support training, development, and compensation strategies.

This is a full-time position based in York, with a competitive salary range of £55,000-£60,000 per annum. A clean driving licence is essential.
