About the Role

We are seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team in the Milton Keynes Community Mental Health HUB. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced Occupational Therapists to provide support and guidance to service users.

Key Responsibilities

The Occupational Therapy Assistant will be responsible for planning and implementing groups and one-to-one sessions to improve and enable everyday activities for service users. They will work closely with the Occupational Therapy team to develop the skills required to deliver effective care.

Person Specification

  • Good general education up to GCSE/A level standard/NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience in a healthcare environment
  • Previous experience as an OTA, Activity Co-ordinator or have worked under OT supervision
  • Mental Health Experience
  • Previous NHS Experience
  • Good communication skills
  • IT literate
  • Ability to relate to individuals and groups
  • Full driving license in order to use unit vehicle
