About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Butlins in Bognor Regis. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will play a key role in supporting the running of the kitchen and leading a team of up to 40.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality food and exceptional customer service.
  • Assist in the planning, preparation, and presentation of menus, taking into account seasonal ingredients and dietary requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the best possible quality and value for money.
  • Contribute to the development of new menu ideas and concepts, aligning with Butlins' brand values and customer preferences.
  • Ensure that all kitchen operations are conducted in a safe and hygienic manner, adhering to relevant health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a similar environment, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, with the ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
