Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of our menu items, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the kitchen team, ensuring that all staff are working efficiently and effectively to meet customer demand.
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas, taking into account seasonal produce and customer preferences.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Work closely with the owner to achieve business objectives and drive sales growth.
  • Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring that the kitchen is always well-stocked and equipped to meet customer demand.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a similar environment, with a strong track record of success.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, with the ability to maintain high standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, with a calm and composed demeanor in a busy kitchen.
  • Flexibility to work a 48-hour week over 5 days, with some evening events and private hire.
