About the Role:

As a Linux Storage Systems Engineer at Synapri, you will be part of our Engineering function and will primarily be responsible for the support and evolution of our Linux estate and storage platforms. This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of a growing team in a modern working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain our Linux storage infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with our product owners, user engagement teams, and key stakeholders to translate user needs into technical solutions.
  • Design and deliver secure capabilities that transform our services.
  • Work closely with our teams to drive forward the design and delivery of secure capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base.
  • Participate in Agile/DevOps working practices within a skilled technical team.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Linux related technologies, including installation and system administration tasks.
  • Exposure to storage solutions (Ceph) with experience in management and upgrade tasks.
  • Experience with ansible automation.
  • Experience with Linux scripting languages, such as Bash or Python.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work productively with minimal supervision, both alone and in collaboration with others.
  • Familiarity with common services, applications, and protocols.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with open-source monitoring tools, such as Nagios or Zabbix.
  • Experience with source control.
  • Previous experience working in Government.

Clearance Requirements: SC clearance and willingness to undergo DV clearance upon appointment.
