At Synapri, we are seeking a highly skilled Linux Storage Systems Engineer to join our Engineering function. As a key member of our Linux Engineering team, you will be responsible for the support and evolution of our Linux estate and storage platforms.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a modern working environment and be part of a growing team. You will have the chance to drive forward the design and delivery of secure capabilities that will transform our services.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide technical support and maintenance for our Linux storage systems
  • Design and implement new storage solutions to meet business needs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate user needs into technical solutions
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies

**Requirements:**

  • Experience with Linux related technologies and storage solutions (Ceph)
  • Proficiency in installation and system administration tasks
  • Experience with ansible automation and Linux scripting languages (Bash or Python)
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Familiarity with Agile/DevOps working practices and common services (HTTPS, SSH, DNS, NTP, SSL)

**Nice to Have:**

  • Experience with open-source monitoring tools (Nagios or Zabbix)
  • Experience with source control
  • Previous experience working in Government

We require the successful candidate to have SC clearance and be willing to undergo DV clearance upon appointment.
