Clearance: SC Clearance (willing to undergo DV)

Synapri is seeking a skilled Linux Storage Engineer to join our Engineering function. As a key member of the Linux Engineering team, you will be responsible for the support and evolution of the Linux estate and storage platforms. This is an exciting opportunity to drive forward the design and delivery of secure capabilities that will transform the Rosa Service.

As a Linux Storage Engineer, you will work closely with our product owners, user engagement teams, and key stakeholders to translate user needs into technical solutions. You will be responsible for installation and system administration tasks, as well as management and upgrade tasks for storage solutions such as Ceph. Experience with ansible automation and Linux scripting languages such as Bash or Python is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and evolve the Linux estate and storage platforms
  • Work with product owners and stakeholders to translate user needs into technical solutions
  • Manage and upgrade storage solutions such as Ceph
  • Develop and implement ansible automation scripts
  • Write and maintain Linux scripts using Bash or Python

Requirements:

  • Experience with Linux related technologies
  • Experience with storage solutions such as Ceph
  • Experience with ansible automation
  • Experience with Linux scripting languages such as Bash or Python
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with open-source monitoring tools such as Nagios or Zabbix
  • Experience with source control
  • Previous experience working in Government

The ideal candidate will have SC clearance and be willing to undergo DV clearance upon appointment.
