Overview:

This role is a statutory position requiring a minimum of 3 days a week in the office. You will be working with vulnerable children and their families, identifying and managing risks to ensure their safety and well-being.

About the Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced social worker to join our team as an Adoption Caseworker. The successful candidate will have a strong background in child protection and experience in managing risk assessments and developing plans for vulnerable children.

Responsibilities:

  1. Risk Management: Identify and assess risks to children, develop strategies to mitigate these risks, and provide ongoing support to ensure the child's safety and well-being.
  2. Alternative Placement: Secure and support alternative homes for children, including those in and beyond public care, ensuring that their needs are met and they receive the necessary support.
  3. Assessment and Planning: Undertake comprehensive needs assessments and develop plans for outcomes, reviewing and updating these plans as necessary to ensure the best possible outcomes for the child.
  4. Criminal Justice and Child Protection: Conduct specialist assessments within the Criminal Justice arena, including assessing needs and risks and undertaking child protection processes and investigations.

Requirements:

  • UK Social Work experience: 3 years
  • Social Work England Registration
  • The right to work in the UK
  • An Enhanced DBS issued within the past 12 months
