About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team at the J Marylebone Hotel. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's maintenance and engineering functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and repair of hotel facilities, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
  • Manage and coordinate maintenance schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks and minimal disruption to guests and hotel operations.
  • Develop and implement maintenance budgets, tracking expenses and controlling costs.
  • Liaise with external contractors and suppliers to ensure timely completion of maintenance work.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, conducting regular safety inspections and audits.
  • Collaborate with the facilities team to deliver outstanding guest service and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a maintenance or engineering role in a hotel, preferably with supervisory experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong leadership and proactive approach.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in using hotel management software and tools.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
