About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-focused individual to join our team as a UK B2B Regulation & Compliance Advisor. As a key member of our Power North-West team, you will play a crucial role in supporting Shell Energy UK in navigating the complex regulatory compliance environment in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line support to Shell Energy UK on day-to-day regulatory queries, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Monitor, review, and coordinate responses to industry small changes ("industry mod") for the integrated power business, working closely with subject matter experts to advocate as necessary.
  • Assist with reviewing and responding to wider regulatory change consultations and support the implementation of necessary business change activity.
  • Coordinate meetings with internal stakeholders to ensure successful two-way communication between teams and effective delivery.
  • Work with internal subject matter experts to coordinate high-quality responses to regulatory Requests for Information (RfI) or external audits, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Undertake regulatory compliance assurance to proactively identify opportunities for Shell Energy UK to improve its regulatory compliance performance.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and concurrent deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Foundational understanding of energy and ideally B2B retail energy regulation.
  • Degree-level education in a relevant subject (e.g., law, economics, politics, etc.). We are also keen to hear from people with equivalent experience.
  • Proven ability to work with internal stakeholders, including experience of coordinating internal discussions with peer groups.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and succinct manner.
  • Understanding of the importance of providing high-quality compliance information.
