Job Title: UK B2B Regulation & Compliance Advisor

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a UK B2B Regulation & Compliance Advisor. As a key member of our Regulatory Team, you will play a crucial role in supporting Shell's B2B power and gas retailer in the UK (Shell Energy UK) by coordinating regulatory compliance activities and providing first-line regulatory advice and guidance to all levels of the business.

About the Role

As a UK B2B Regulation & Compliance Advisor, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing first-line support to Shell Energy UK on day-to-day regulatory queries.
  • Monitoring, reviewing, and coordinating relevant responses to industry changes for the integrated power business and working with subject matter experts to undertake advocacy as necessary.
  • Assisting with reviewing and responding to wider regulatory change consultations and supporting the implementation of necessary business change activity.
  • Coordinating meetings with internal stakeholders to ensure successful two-way communication between teams and effective delivery.
  • Working with internal subject matter experts to coordinate high-quality responses to regulatory Requests for Information (RfI) or external audits, and ensuring all deadlines are achieved.
  • Undertaking regulatory compliance assurance to proactively identify opportunities for Shell Energy UK to improve its regulatory compliance performance.
What We Need From You

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and concurrent deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Foundational understanding of energy and ideally B2B retail energy regulation.
  • Degree-level education in a relevant subject (e.g., law, economics, politics, etc.). We are also keen to hear from people with equivalent experience.
  • Proven ability to work with internal stakeholders, including experience of coordinating internal discussions with peer groups.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and succinct way.
  • Understanding of the importance of providing high-quality compliance information.
