We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to support Shell's B2B power and gas retailer in the UK (Shell Energy UK) with regulatory compliance activities and provide first-line regulatory advice and guidance to all levels of the business.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide first-line support to Shell Energy UK on day-to-day regulatory queries.
- Monitor, review, and coordinate relevant responses to industry changes and work with subject matter experts to undertake advocacy as necessary.
- Assist with reviewing and responding to regulatory change consultations and support with the implementation of necessary business change activity.
- Coordinate meetings with internal stakeholders to ensure successful two-way communication between teams and effective delivery.
- Work with internal subject matter experts to coordinate high-quality responses to regulatory requests for information (RFIs) or external audits, and ensure all deadlines are achieved.
- Undertake regulatory compliance assurance to proactively identify opportunities for Shell Energy UK to improve its regulatory compliance performance.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and concurrent deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Foundational understanding of energy and ideally B2B retail energy regulation.
- Degree-level education in a relevant subject (e.g., law, economics, politics, etc.).
- Proven ability to work with internal stakeholders, including experience of coordinating internal discussions with peer groups.
- Ability to communicate in a clear and succinct way.
- Understanding of the importance of providing high-quality compliance information.
