Role Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to support Shell's B2B power and gas retailer in the UK. As a UK B2B Regulation & Compliance Advisor, you will play a key role in coordinating regulatory compliance activities and providing first-line regulatory advice and guidance to stakeholders across Shell Energy UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first-line support to Shell Energy UK on day-to-day regulatory queries.
  • Monitor, review, and coordinate responses to industry changes and work with subject matter experts to undertake advocacy as necessary.
  • Assist with reviewing and responding to regulatory change consultations and support with the implementation of necessary business change activity.
  • Coordinate meetings with internal stakeholders to ensure successful two-way communication between teams and effective delivery.
  • Work with internal subject matter experts to coordinate high-quality responses to regulatory requests for information (RFIs) or external audits, and ensure all deadlines are achieved.
  • Undertake regulatory compliance assurance to proactively identify opportunities for Shell Energy UK to improve its regulatory compliance performance.
Requirements
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and concurrent deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Foundational understanding of energy and ideally B2B retail energy regulation.
  • Degree-level education in a relevant subject (e.g., law, economics, politics, etc.).
  • Proven ability to work with internal stakeholders, including experience of coordinating internal discussions with peer groups.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and succinct way.
  • Understanding of the importance of providing high-quality compliance information.
