Job Title: Technical Support Manager - Composite Expert

As a key member of our technical service team, you will provide expert support and guidance on composite products, technologies, and processes to our global business and customers.

You will lead a portfolio of strategic customer support projects, certification programs, and technical support activities to support our global composite business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide detailed technical correspondence and recommendations to commercial teams and customers on material specifications, production techniques, and complaint resolution.
  • Coordinate and provide training and demonstrations to commercial teams, distributors, customers, and potential new customers.
  • Initiate and manage composite approval programs globally, including negotiating SOWs, managing test programs, and submitting final test reports.
  • Work closely with the Formulated Materials Development Team and Resin development team to provide market and customer insight into key development projects.
  • Collaborate with Product Management to provide final approval for technical input into composite data sheets and other literature.

Requirements:

  • MSc or PhD in Polymer or Materials Related background.
  • Strong knowledge of global chemical regulations and their impact on business.
  • Proven theoretical understanding and practical application of composite manufacturing techniques and processes.
  • Experience of scaling polymer manufacture to pilot and production scales.
  • Ability to manage a portfolio of extended customer and third-party approval projects and programs.
