Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Manager to join our team at Scott Bader. As a senior member of our technical service team, you will provide expert support and advice on composite products, technologies, and processes to our global business and customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and lead strategic customer support projects, certification programs, and technical support activities for our global composite business.
  • Manage a portfolio of technical support projects/programs, including laboratory work, commercial team support, customer communication, and external partner engagement.
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise in composite applications, providing recommendations to commercial teams and customers on material specifications, production techniques, and best practices.
  • Coordinate training and demonstrations for commercial teams, distributors, customers, and potential new customers, in conjunction with R&D team members.
  • Initiate and manage composite approval programs globally, including negotiating SOWs, managing test programs, and submitting final test reports.

Requirements

  • MSc or PhD in Polymer or Materials Related background.
  • Strong knowledge of global chemical regulations and their impact on business.
  • Proven understanding and practical application of composite manufacturing techniques and processes.
  • Experience in scaling polymer manufacture to pilot and production scales.
  • Ability to manage extended customer and third-party approval projects and programs.
