Senior Compliance Consultant - Financial Crime Specialist

Ocorian, a leading global corporation in corporate and fiduciary services, seeks an experienced Financial Crime Data Analyst Lead to join our team.

This critical role involves the analysis of vast datasets using cutting-edge technologies and advanced statistical techniques to uncover insights for our clients. You will be looking for hidden patterns within the global payments of a bank accused of money laundering, searching for evidence of fraud and abuse within a company's finance system, or helping track down rogue traders in their attempts to manipulate global financial markets.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in data analysis (e.g., SQL/Python), data visualization, or programming, and experience in financial crime compliance at a financial institution, legal practice, consultancy, or regulator. They will also possess excellent report writing skills and be able to advise clients on a wide range of financial crime compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise and support clients on financial crime regulatory requirements, expectations, and industry practices.
  • Drafting, revising, and presenting client deliverables, including reports, policies, and procedures.
  • Support clients using advanced analytics to enhance financial crime systems and improve the quality of alerts.
  • Understand clients' risk profiles and business needs, determine available data, and identify future-state needs with technology.
  • Leverage/analyze client data to identify risks and support control enhancement.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Stay updated on relevant regulatory developments and inform colleagues and clients on regulatory changes.
