About the Role:

As a Manufacturing Engineer at VanRath, you will play a crucial role in designing, optimising, and improving assembly processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety. Working closely with design engineers, production teams, and quality control, you will streamline workflows, address operational challenges, and implement innovative, cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Innovate and refine assembly processes to improve efficiency, safety, and product quality.
  • Design and implement optimal layouts and procedures for assembly lines.
  • Lead lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all processes comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Create and maintain essential documentation, including risk assessments, work instructions, and SOPs.
  • Specify, source, and oversee the installation of new tools and equipment.
  • Collaborate with quality control to ensure product standards are met, analyse data, and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead process improvement projects, managing timelines, budgets, and cross-functional teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, ideally within assembly operations.
  • Expertise in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and manufacturing process simulation tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and data-driven decision-making skills.

Working Environment:

This role is primarily based in a dynamic manufacturing plant, with occasional travel to supplier sites or other company locations.
