About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Belfast. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will play a crucial role in designing, optimising, and improving assembly processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Innovate and refine assembly processes to improve efficiency, safety, and product quality.
  • Design and implement optimal layouts and procedures for assembly lines.
  • Conduct time and motion studies to identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Lead lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide technical support to troubleshoot equipment and resolve process issues.
  • Ensure all processes comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Create and maintain essential documentation, including risk assessments, work instructions, and SOPs.
  • Specify, source, and oversee the installation of new tools and equipment.
  • Develop proactive maintenance plans to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Collaborate with quality control to ensure product standards are met, analyse data, and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead process improvement projects, managing timelines, budgets, and cross-functional teams.
  • Train staff on new processes and equipment, keeping up to date with industry trends.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Six Sigma certification (desirable but not essential).
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (desirable but not essential).

Working Environment:

This role is primarily based in a dynamic manufacturing plant, with occasional travel to supplier sites or other company locations.
