About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Specialist to join our team at Hunter Savage. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for identifying, defining, and implementing process quality and process design steps that meet Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and purchase tooling, equipment, machinery, and capital expenditure projects to support manufacturing operations
  • Ensure Design for Manufacture and Assembly principles are applied throughout the product development process
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product groups and customer representatives, to ensure customer technical requirements are translated into manufacturing processes
  • Implement complex engineering changes while ensuring new product and process implementations meet safety requirements
Requirements
  • A degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering with relevant manufacturing experience is essential. Consideration will be given to candidates with lesser or no qualifications who possess significantly more relevant manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Excellent project management skills, particularly in introducing new products and complex engineering changes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, as well as experience with SAP or other MRP/ERP systems
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing practices, and/or APQP is highly desirable
