Vickerstock is working in partnership with a leading manufacturing firm in the Greater Belfast area to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer. Our client is one of the biggest and best-known brands within their sector across the globe, with customers in the USA, Germany, Australia, China, and Canada.

Your key responsibilities as a Manufacturing Engineer will include:

  • Providing technical support to production in the implementation and set-up of new machinery and technologies.
  • Introducing and continually developing Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques across fabrication and assembly areas.
  • Providing technical support to production in the maintenance and improvement of quality and production efficiency.
  • Carrying out all engineering duties to ensure the successful implementation of new products into production, including technical outputs, drawings, work instructions, BOMs, and costings, as well as production jigs and fixtures.
  • Providing technical support to purchasing in the sourcing and development of sub-contract manufacturers.
  • Carrying out product testing prior to market launch to ensure all safety and quality requirements are met.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will ideally have:

  • A 3rd-level qualification in manufacturing or mechanical engineering.
  • At least 2 years' experience in a manufacturing engineering department.
  • A thorough understanding and demonstrable experience of Lean Manufacturing techniques and the introduction of these techniques.
  • A thorough understanding and demonstrable experience of manufacturing processes, ideally within glass and carbon materials.
