Educational Assistant for Children with Disabilities Job Summary:
Teaching Personnel is seeking a skilled Educational Assistant for Children with Disabilities to join their team at a primary school in Peckham, SE London. As an Educational Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the lead teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment and providing individualized support to children with disabilities.
Your key responsibilities will include establishing positive relationships with pupils, parents, class teachers, and other members of staff across the school, monitoring and documenting the progress of each child, and communicating observations to the lead teacher.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the lead teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Establish positive relationships with the pupils, parents, class teachers, and other members of staff across the school
- Monitor and document the progress of each child and communicate observations to the lead teacher
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEND
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Level 3 Childcare Qualification
- A flexible, proactive attitude who is passionate about improving the environment and learning for all pupils
- Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
- Right to work in the UK
