The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious UK Sales Account Manager to join our dynamic team at Lankem Surfactants. Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Growth: Manage and develop existing accounts through strategic upselling, cross-selling, and customer engagement.
  • Expand Horizons: Use market research to identify new opportunities, emerging markets, and innovative routes-to-market.
  • Shape the Future: Create and execute strategic sales plans that boost our customer base and expand Lankem Surfactants' reach across the UK.
  • Be the Expert: Maintain a keen awareness of market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to keep Lankem Surfactants at the forefront.
  • Build Relationships: Cultivate strong, lasting relationships with clients, enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Represent Lankem Surfactants: Be the face of our brand at industry events, expanding our visibility and opening new business avenues.
  • Collaborate for Success: Work closely with our dedicated Sales Team and Customer Service professionals to achieve personal and company goals.

Requirements

  • B2B Sales Experience: Minimum of 3 years in the chemical sector with a manufacturer or distributor.
  • Technical Expertise: A degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field is preferred, but experience can speak louder than qualifications.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrable success in account management, business development, and the full sales cycle.
  • Surfactant Knowledge: Familiarity with surfactants is highly desirable.
  • Relationship Builder: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport.
  • Driven and Tenacious: A proactive self-starter with a passion for sales, strong commercial acumen, and excellent time management.
  • Market Savvy: An interest in the global chemical market is a plus.
  • Mobility: UK driver's license and willingness to travel to meet clients.
