Cygnet Hospital Harrow provides a recovery-focused service treating a wide range of mental health problems. Our hospital also offers specialist diagnostic, assessment, and inpatient services for individuals with mental health needs and dual diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder.

As a Senior Mental Health Specialist, your expertise will be the driving force for life-changing treatment. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, taking overall responsibility for patient treatment plans. Your duties will include assessing referrals, undertaking mental state examinations, and implementing risk assessments.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for career progression, with the possibility of moving to Medical Director level through our management schemes. You will receive comprehensive training, support, and opportunities for professional development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Working closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Assessing referrals and conducting mental state examinations to inform treatment decisions
  • Implementing risk assessments and developing strategies to minimize risks
  • Participating in ward rounds and clinical audits to ensure high-quality patient care

In return for your expertise, we offer a highly competitive salary of up to £150,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you will enjoy generous annual leave entitlement, study leave, and a contributory pension scheme.
