Job Summary

We are looking for an energetic and skilled IT professional to join our team as an Applications Support Engineer. The successful candidate will promote the availability, performance, security, and effective provisioning of all our applications. Key responsibilities include developing an excellent understanding of our business processes, performing regular system monitoring, and participating in incident and problem resolution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing an excellent understanding of our business processes to solve problems and make improvements
  • Performing regular system monitoring to verify the integrity and availability of software resources and processes for users
  • Participating in incident and problem resolution, including identification, diagnosis, and root cause analysis
  • Actively communicating risks, operational problems, and incidents to ascertain business impact and escalate where necessary
  • Responding to requests for support in a timely fashion to meet overall service levels and ensure quality customer service
  • Following appropriate controls over implementations and changes, maintaining documentation to ensure adherence to common processes
  • Identifying gaps in services and highlighting underlying performance to contribute to the improvement of services
Requirements
  • Experience in implementing and supporting applications
  • Ability to understand business processes and operate cross-functionally to resolve technical problems for application software in areas such as finance, supply chain, warehousing, HR, technical, and reporting
  • iSeries/A400 technical skills
  • Infor System 21, Navision, Great Plains, Tropos, Qliksense, Kronos, EDI (integrations), PowerApps (desirable)
  • Some basic server technical skills, including SQL Databases (SQL queries to analyze data) T-SQL
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills
  • Good business acumen
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and autonomously
  • Good customer service skills
  • Flexible and able to make good judgments
  • Able to influence and convince users with new ideas and proposals to improve business procedures and IT systems
