Research Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Scientist / Principal Scientist to join our team at Nicholas Associates in Cambridgeshire.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in molecular dynamics and molecular modelling techniques, with a degree-level qualification and a PhD in Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Key responsibilities will include utilising molecular modelling techniques to identify root causes of issues and recommending corrective action.
Requirements:
- Experience of molecular dynamics and molecular modelling techniques
- Strong knowledge of polymer membrane synthesis
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Knowledge of computational chemistry and materials science
Desirable skills include:
- Molecular dynamics simulations (MD)
- Density functional theory (DFT)
- Monte Carlo simulations
- Coarse-grained simulations
- Mesoscale simulations
