We are seeking a skilled Counsellor to join our team at Nuffield Health, working in a hybrid environment that combines flexibility with the benefits of a traditional office setting. As a Counsellor, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with common mental health problems, utilizing a step-care approach to therapy.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and support individuals with mental health issues, promoting self-management and recovery.
- Conduct patient-centered interviews to identify areas for change and assess risk to self and others.
- Make decisions on referral suitability, adhering to Nuffield Health protocols, and refer clients to relevant agencies or back to the business for further treatment.
- Maintain high standards of practice, adhering to NH regulations and guidelines, and stay up-to-date with advances in treatment for common mental health problems.
- Ensure confidentiality is protected at all times, adhering to information governance guidelines.
- Stay current with continuing professional development and maintain specialist knowledge of latest theoretical and service delivery models.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in counselling or counselling psychology.
- Minimum two years of post-degree experience in counselling.
- Full Accreditation with the BACP or UKCP, or Accredited Professional Status with the NCPS (or COSCA in Scotland).
- Completed NICE-approved Counselling for Depression training (ideally).
