We are a well-established organization with a strong commitment to providing innovative and effective care for adults with specialist mental healthcare needs. Our team is passionate about creating environments where our staff feel rewarded and fulfilled.

As a Practice Development Lead, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of the College waking curriculum within the residential homes and contributing to the development of support staff, students, and strategies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring support within the College is person-centered and geared to meet the needs of students in a way that is expert and empathetic.
  • Implementing, monitoring, and evaluating Positive Behaviour Support Plans.
  • Assessing, planning, developing, and evaluating service delivery to meet individual supported students' needs.
  • Creating and maintaining an appropriate, safe, and stimulating learning environment that promotes learning and the desire to learn.
  • Promoting the correct environment, variety of teaching styles, and learning situations that enhance staff skills.
  • Encouraging the development of a moral and promoting the safeguarding of students at all times.

Requirements include:

  • Train the trainer qualification and current and up to date training experience.
  • SEN Qualification.
  • Knowledge of developments for young people with ASC.
  • Experience of managing change/setting up a new service.
  • At least 3 years' experience working as a manager and managing staff effectively.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to provide a warm, welcoming, and structured learning environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff.
  • Ability to manage, support, and motivate staff in a team situation.
