Academic Professor Position

We are seeking an experienced Academic Professor to join our team at Iris Care Group. As a leading provider of innovative care services across the Southwest of England and South Wales, we offer a dynamic and supportive environment where our staff can grow and develop their careers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the delivery of our curriculum, contributing to the development of support staff, students, and strategies. They will also work collaboratively with other lecturers to plan and manage resources, promote a safe and stimulating learning environment, and assess student work in line with College policy.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences that meet the needs of our students.
  2. Contribute to the development of the College's curriculum and assessment strategies.
  3. Work collaboratively with other lecturers and staff to plan and manage resources.
  4. Assess student work in line with College policy and provide constructive feedback.
  5. Attend and contribute to parent evenings and other meetings as required.

Requirements

  1. Qualified Teacher (QTS) or FE teaching Qualification.
  2. Knowledge of developments for young people with ASC.
  3. Experience of working in a team and liaising with parents and external agencies.
  4. Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff.
  5. Ability to be innovative, imaginative, and flexible in the working situation.
