Transformation Unit is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Assistant Admin Support Practitioner to join our team in the Radiation Therapy department at Derriford Hospital.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Radiation Therapy team, ensuring the smooth operation of the department and providing excellent patient care.
Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and deliver a comprehensive administrative service to the Radiation Therapy team.
- Work closely with the team to prioritize tasks and manage workload.
- Provide administrative support for the Stereotactic and External Beam Radiotherapy services.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of administrative tasks.
Requirements:
- 5 GCSEs including A-C in Math and English, or equivalent.
- NVQ Level 2-3 in Administration/Clerical skills, or demonstrable equivalent.
- IT skills/qualification, i.e., European Computer Driving Licence, or equivalent.
- Demonstrable audio typing experience (Big Hand).
Desirable Skills:
- Experience of working in a patient-focused environment.
- Ability to exercise initiative and prioritize workload.
- Knowledge of hospital information systems, i.e., Patient Tracker Lists (PTL).
- Understanding of scientific and medical terms.
- High standard of literacy and numerical accuracy.
- Excellent attention to detail.
Working Arrangements:
This is a full-time position, and the successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional unpredictable work demands.
