Job Summary:

This is a permanent post for a driver working in the Cowal area. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and operating vehicles to support the council's infrastructure maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain vehicles to ensure safe and efficient transportation of personnel and equipment.
  • Conduct regular vehicle checks and report any defects or issues to the relevant authorities.
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of infrastructure, including roads and bridges.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to achieve project goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the role.

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with varying weather conditions and terrain. The role will involve working at heights and in confined spaces.
