Job Title: Regulatory Risk Manager Private Client

Investec is a specialist bank serving clients in the UK and South Africa, with a culture that encourages innovation and collaboration. We are seeking a Regulatory Risk Manager to support the Private Client team in delivering strategic business objectives and commercial goals.

  1. Key Responsibilities:
  2. Drive a culture of compliance, conduct risk management, and good client outcomes across the Private Client team.
  3. Work collaboratively with 2nd line compliance and risk teams to provide a clear line of sight of ownership and accountability for compliance and conduct risks.
  4. Provide risk management guidance and support to ensure regulatory risk management is embedded throughout the business.
  5. Quantify the business impact of forthcoming regulatory and legislative change, and prioritize the business response.
  6. Drive delivery of the business response to regulatory and legislative change, and mitigate adverse client impacts.
  7. Identify and manage issues of potential regulatory risk and poor client outcomes, and escalate as required.
  8. Define solutions to risks that are proportionate, sustainable, and considered.
  9. Represent the Private Client team at governance forums and in regulatory risk assessments.
  10. Support the design of the team's local quality assurance and monitoring activity.
  11. Create and deliver regulated training material.
  12. Represent the bank at industry meetings and groups.

Requirements:

  1. Regulatory knowledge applicable to the role.
  2. Ability to work independently on delivering regulatory projects.
  3. Ability to read and interpret relevant changes in legislation and regulatory expectations.
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Initiative-taking with emphasis on attention to detail.
  6. Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  7. Problem-solving mentality.
  8. A practical approach and the ability to make clear and concise decisions.
