Role Overview

The Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Risk Lead to join its Digital and Technology Group. This full-time, permanent opportunity will be based in the UK, with a minimum of 40% on-site working hours to enable collaboration and stakeholder engagement.

About the Role

This key position will play a vital role in reducing the agency's cyber security risk, focusing on Information Security. As a seasoned professional in cyber and information security, you will work closely with the Senior Information Risk Owner to deliver the agency's security agenda, embedding a strong information security risk management framework aligned with industry and government best practices.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive information security risk assessments and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of security into business-as-usual processes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders to drive security awareness and adoption.
  • Prioritize and manage risks, ensuring timely decision-making and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert guidance on security controls, threat intelligence, and incident response.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

A proven track record in fast-paced cyber and information security environments.Experience in conducting thorough risk assessments and implementing robust security measures.Excellent analytical skills, enabling you to make informed decisions that support business objectives.Strong communication skills, allowing you to convey complex security concepts to non-technical colleagues.A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively across teams and organizations.

In addition to a competitive salary of approximately £34,841 per annum, we offer a range of benefits, including:
