Job Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled School Support Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. This rewarding role involves providing tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a dynamic secondary school environment.

About the Job

  1. Develop strong, supportive relationships with pupils to create a safe and encouraging atmosphere conducive to learning.
  2. Contribute to delivering engaging educational activities and experiences that cater to the diverse needs of pupils.
  3. Work closely with teachers to ensure seamless classroom operations and optimal pupil outcomes.
  4. Promote the holistic development of pupils, encompassing cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, physical, and spiritual aspects.
  5. Demonstrate effective collaboration and communication skills within a multi-disciplinary team.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • GCSE Maths and English Language qualifications minimum Grade 4 or equivalent.
  • Level 2-3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (or working towards) is required.
  • A thorough understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures.
  • Desirable knowledge and experience of supporting pupils with SEMH, ASD.

Working Arrangements

The role is situated in Quidenham, requiring a driving license and access to a vehicle. Parking is provided on site. The working hours are 40 hours per week, term-time only, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm (5pm on Thursdays).

Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is £21,709.61 - £22,388.59, depending on experience, with an hourly rate of £12.15 - £12.53 per hour.
