Senior Staff Nurse - Specialist SACT Oncology and Haematology
Nuffield Health Warwickshire Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Nurse to join our team in the Milverton Suite, a Haematology & Oncology Day Unit. As a Senior Staff Nurse - Specialist SACT Oncology and Haematology, you will be responsible for administering systemic anti-cancer therapy and supportive treatments, as well as providing holistic care to patients with haematological cancers and solid tumours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead by example and be an ambassador for Nuffield Health
- Use clinical skills and an empathetic approach to meet each individual patient's needs
- Enjoy autonomy to make decisions that ensure excellent patient care
- Deliver high-quality holistic care to our patients
- Administer systemic anti-cancer therapy and supportive treatments
- Assist with Holistic Needs Assessments
- Complete UKONS triage and assessments
- Provide care for acute oncological and haematological emergencies
- Interact with practitioners from other departments
- Educate patients in the management of their care
- Assist with outpatient consultant clinics
Requirements:
- NMC registered and be a qualified nurse
- Have a UKONS SACT passport (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 6 months SACT administration experience
- Proficient in phlebotomy, cannulation, and accessing Central Venous Access Devices
- Competent in UKONS triage
